Miguel Ángel Cotto Vázquez (born October 29, 1980) is a Puerto Rican professional boxer. As an amateur, Cotto represented Puerto Rico in the lightweight and light welterweight divisions at various international events including the 1999 Pan American Games, the 2000 Summer Olympics and the 1998 Junior World Championships where he won a silver medal.
The Men's 1999 World Amateur Boxing Championships were held in Houston, Texas from August 15 to August 29. The tenth edition of this competition, a year before the Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, was organised by the world governing body for amateur boxing AIBA.

Antonio Margarito, born on March 18, 1978 in Torrance, California, (though he now resides in Tijuana, Mexico) is a Mexican American boxer and is a former World Boxing Association Welterweight Champion. He is also a former International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization Welterweight champion. Margarito's reputation was tarnished by an incident in which his corner is alleged to have tampered with his hand wraps prior to his bout with Shane Mosley, which were found by the CSAC to contain sulfur and calcium, which combine with oxygen to form "Plaster of Paris".[1]Atlantic City is a city in Atlantic County, New Jersey, United States.
