The Danish Gold Coast was a part of the Gold Coast (roughly present-day Ghana), which is on the West African Gulf of Guinea (hence the territory is sometimes called Danish Guinea). It was colonized by the Danes, first under indirect rule by the Danish West India Company (a chartered company), later as a crown colony.
Accra (English pronunciation: /ʌkˈra/) is the capital and most populous city of Ghana, a nation on the coast of the western region of Africa. Balasore (also known as Baleswar and Baleshwar) is a strategically located city in the state of Orissa in eastern India. It is the administrative headquarters of Balasore District. It is best known for Chandipur beach. It is also the site of the Indian Ballistic Missile Defense Program's Integrated Test Range, located 70 km. south of Chandipur. The Defence Research and Development Organisation developed many different missiles such as Nag, Brahmos, Agni missile among others here. The lingua franca is Oriya.
Cape Coast Castle is a fortification in Ghana built by Swedish traders. The first timber construction on the site was erected in 1653 for the Swedish Africa Company and named Carolusborg after King Charles X of Sweden.
